MESSAGE FROM AMIR BARNETT
It is an honor and privilege to serve as President of The Village Mentoring, Inc. for the 2019 year. I am committed to establishing a solid foundation of stability and emotional support within the community of young men through advocacy, action, and direction.
The Village Mentoring is a non-profit organization that was incorporated on June 30, 2017. Founded with the objectives of planting the right mentality, rooting a professional background, and sowing the seed, The Village aims to uplift and mold the next generation of strong men and leaders in our community.
I am Amir Barnett, a confident, innovative, and passionate sophomore Biological Engineering student from Washington, DC. I have been a member of The Village Mentoring since my arrival at North Carolina A&T State University in the Fall of 2017. The Village has provided me with opportunities for both community outreach and a platform to inspire others through leadership and my own unique talents. Since joining the organization, I have had the opportunity to hone my leadership abilities, grow my love for service, and develop a sense of brotherhood with young men on my college campus and within my community.
As we transition into our 3rd year as an organization, it is my hope that my newly elected board and I will be able to transcend The Village Mentoring to new heights. I cordially welcome you to take part in our journey and join our village. Please feel free to roam our site and follow us via Instagram, Twitter, Youtube and Facebook to get a closer look at our Village!
President, The Village Mentoring, Inc.
